Top Facts Regarding Veneers in Thailand

Veneer – a thin piece of porcelain used to re-create the natural look of teeth – is possibly one of the most popular procedures in cosmetic dentistry right now. Getting a veneer is a great choice if your teeth are stained, you have gaps, chipped, or you just don’t like the way they look, but a veneer can be very pricey. As a result, hundreds of people choose to undergo the procedure in Thailand because they can save more money and get the same quality of what they’d get in their home countries.

    Veneers Before and After

If you are thinking about flying to this country to get veneers, read this article first to make sure you have the best experience and end up with the beautiful set of teeth you have always dreamed of.

    Consult your local dentist first

It is highly recommended to talk to your local dentist first because you don’t want to travel all the way to Thailand only to be told that you are not an ideal candidate for the procedure. Most people can undergo veneers, but there are some requirements that make you a good candidate for the procedure. Some of the requirements are good tooth alignment, healthy tooth enamel, good overall oral health, and moderately straight teeth.

Know how long you need to stay in the area

Some dentists offer same-day procedures (composite veneer), meaning you may be able to leave the hospital after the procedure. However, most dentists will recommend you to attend separate appointments if you want to have the most natural results. The appointments are usually two days apart. Whether you undergo a same-day procedure or two appointments, you can’t leave Thailand immediately. To make your planning easier (such as booking a hotel and flights), it is crucial to find out your length of stay in the country.

Make sure your dentist is one of the best in Thailand

A veneer is a serious dental procedure and it’s irreversible, so deciding to get a veneer is just as big as deciding to get other types of procedures, like a boob-job or a nose job. You want to make sure that your dentist is the best in Thailand, meaning they have the right skills, experiences, and credentials. Also, ask about any certification or accreditation and don’t be lazy to perform the research to avoid getting ripped off. If you don’t know where to start with your search, you can always get the help of MyMediTravel.
