    Why would I have liposuction?

Liposuction is a cosmetic procedure to remove fat cells from the body. It is often used on the abdomen, buttocks, thighs, neck, chin, calves, back, as well as the upper and backs of the arms. In some cases, it is also performed on the knees and ankles. This procedure is not a quick fix for people who are significantly overweight or obese.

What are the benefits of having liposuction?

    Liposuction has various benefits, including:

    • Enhance the shape and contour of the body
    • Help remove lipomas (benign fatty tumors in certain areas of the body)
    • Help men with gynecomastia by removing the fatty breast tissue
    • Help treat excessive sweating in armpit areas
    • Improve overall health
    • Long-lasting effects
    • Immediate results
    • Influence patients to have a healthier lifestyle
    • Increase confidence.
    Before and After

    What is the recovery time?

The total recovery time can take between 6 to 8 weeks. However, if your job is not physically demanding, you may be able to get back to work within a few days. You should also be able to resume your normal activities, including exercise, within one to two weeks. Make sure you talk to your doctor about the recovery timeline to avoid any complications.

How long will I need to stay in the hospital after my procedure?

If your liposuction is performed under local anesthesia, you should be able to leave the hospital on the same day of the surgery. If general anesthesia is used, then you may need to stay in the hospital for one night.

How long should I expect to stay overseas after my procedure?

Since you may experience some swelling and pain, and you will need to attend follow-up check-ups, you cannot travel home right away after you are discharged. Stay overseas for at least one more week for initial recovery and follow-up check-ups where your healing is monitored and any stitches are removed.

What aftercare should I take into consideration?

It is vital to follow your doctor’s aftercare instructions to avoid complications and achieve the best results. If the liposuction is performed above your waistline, you may need to elevate the treated area when you lie down. You may also need to apply cold compress on the affected area to reduce inflammation and bruising. The results of liposuction need to be maintained, therefore, make sure you follow a healthy, well-balanced diet and exercise regularly.

    What’s the success rate like?

Liposuction has a very high success rate of 85%. It is one of the most common cosmetic procedures in the world. Although the procedure is generally safe, you need to be aware of the possible side effects and complications. These may include severe bruising, blood clot forms in veins, inflammation, kidney or heart problem, and pulmonary embolism.

    Before and After

    Are there alternatives?

One of the most popular alternatives is Vaser Liposuction, which uses specialized ultrasound technology to break down the fat cells. If you want to achieve the same results of liposuction but you don’t want to undergo surgery, there are some alternatives you can consider. These alternatives are CoolSculpting and Ultrashape.
