All-On-6 is used to replace the entire upper or lower set of teeth. It is a permanent solution for people who have lost a significant number of teeth and want to regain their perfect smile. The term “All On” refers to the fact that all of the prosthetic teeth are supported or anchored by 6 strategically placed implants.

What Does the Procedure Involve?

During the procedure, you will be given general anesthetic. All-On-6 has a success rate of more than 95%. Although quite rare, there are some risks and side effects to the procedure, including persistent bleeding, swelling, nausea, discoloration, dry lips, sore throat, sharp sensations in your mouth, dental implants that do not integrate with the bone, stiff muscles, and failed implants.

Are there Alternatives to an All-On-6 Procedure?

All-On-6 is not for everyone. Therefore, if you are not an ideal candidate for this procedure, you can have traditional dentures instead. Other All-On procedures, including All-On-2, All-On-4, and All-On-8, can also be alternatives.
